About
I'm a visual designer passionate about crafting accessible, pixel-perfect work across print, digital, and brand — material that looks great and is built to perform.
My favorite work sits at the intersection of design and real-world constraints: translating complex information into something clear, well-structured, and human. I've done this across a wide range of mediums, from large-format print to coded emails and interactive web projects.
I've worked with large corporations, start-ups, and leading digital marketing agencies. In my most recent role at Boehringer Ingelheim, I specialized in accessibility — designing materials intended to genuinely improve patient outcomes and help healthcare professionals make better decisions.
Outside the studio I'm usually enjoying my music collection, exploring local nature areas, or visiting a gallery. I live in the Netherlands with my girlfriend and our senior Staffie.

Skills
-
I solve problems every day. That's the essence of good design — a visual solution that communicates clearly. I do more than make things look good; I design solutions.
-
As technology advances, embracing AI and machine learning becomes increasingly important. These tools unlock insights into human behavior, streamline workflow automation, and optimize design based on data-driven feedback.
-
I use Claude AI as a collaborative tool throughout my design workflow — from researching and structuring content to building and refining code. Working fluently with AI allows me to move faster, think broader, and focus more energy on the creative decisions that matter.
-
Online marketing acumen and a grounding in Commercial Economics let me go beyond aesthetics — I craft holistic brand experiences that capture attention and drive results.
-
Accessibility isn't just a moral imperative — it's a business necessity. By designing inclusive experiences, organizations expand their reach, foster loyalty, and build better products for everyone.
-
Understanding HTML and CSS is vital for designers — it bridges the gap between creative vision and technical implementation, ensuring designs are built as intended.
-
Email-specific HTML and CSS is a genuinely specialist skill. Understanding the quirks of diverse email clients and rendering environments ensures consistent results and maximizes campaign effectiveness.
-
Strong print knowledge lets me create visually compelling and effective materials that communicate clearly and leave a lasting impression — even as the world moves increasingly digital.
-
Understanding typography — typefaces, sizing, spacing, and hierarchy — is fundamental to design that communicates clearly, evokes the right emotion, and holds up at every scale.
-
Effective communication — with clients, stakeholders, and collaborators — is what turns a good brief into great work. I listen carefully, convey ideas clearly, and keep everyone aligned from concept through delivery.
